There are many ways to degrease the surface of C-section steel, usually related to the equipment of galvanizing production line. The two need to adapt to each other. There are several ways to degrease C-beam before electroplating.
Degrease with organic solvent. Degreasing by organic solvent is actually the dissolving process of saponified oil and unsaponifiable oil in organic solvent. In the machining process of iron and steel products, the thick oil film is often attached to the surface, which is difficult to be treated directly by chemical treatment. This method is not suitable for removing the greasy dirt on the surface of C-beam.
Chemical degreasing. Generally, it refers to the use of alkali solution and alkali salt solution to remove oil. This degreasing process is a complex physical and chemical process. It is produced by oil film under the action of surfactant and alkali. The mechanism of removing grease from steel surface by alkaline aqueous solution.
At present, chemical cleaning is mainly used to degrease C-steel before hot galvanizing. Degreasers can also be recycled, which helps to degrease. A separator shall be installed in the circulation system to remove grease from the degreasing solution. In order to clean the surface of C-section steel, the surface of degreasing liquid should be removed before removing C-section steel from degreasing liquid.
Electrochemical degreasing. Electrochemical degreasing is a process of separating hydrogen from the cathode or oxygen from the anode, mechanically stripping the oil film attached to the surface of C-steel, and accelerating the oil emulsification. According to the electrode polarity of the cleaned object, the electrolytic degreasing method can be divided into anode electrolytic degreasing method, cathode electrolytic degreasing method and mixed polarity electrolytic degreasing method.
Generally, there is less grease on the surface of C-section steel. The furnace welded pipe is formed under high temperature, and it may contact with grease during finishing, but this can be avoided, and generally no degreasing process is required. During welding, there is a great chance for the pipeline to contact with the grease, and the surface is often attached to the casing grease. If there is no degreasing process, it will bring difficulties to pickling and even pollute the pickling solution. In a word, whether to use degreasing depends on the specific situation of C steel surface materials.
