The commonly used drying method is to use a self built earth kiln to dry the raw materials of colored steel tiles, reducing the cost of drying the finished products.
Because earthen kilns are heated by manually burning kang, the temperature is uneven, and often some parts have already dried, while some still have a lot of moisture, and the probability of cracking and deformation is not well controlled. So in addition to the first steam drying, a second microwave drying is also necessary before processing, so that the water can evaporate evenly from the inside out.
During construction, colored steel tiles need to be polished to maintain their aesthetics and ensure construction safety. There are three types of polishing methods for it: dry polishing, wet polishing, and mechanical polishing:
1. Mechanical polishing
During the large-scale construction of colored steel tiles, in order to improve work efficiency, mechanical polishing methods can be used, such as electric polishing machines, which have disc type and vibration type.
2. Dry polishing
The use of sandpaper for polishing is suitable for polishing hard and brittle paint. The disadvantage of this method of polishing colored steel tiles is that a lot of dust will be generated during the operation, which affects environmental hygiene.
3. Wet polishing
Grind the colored steel tiles with sandpaper dipped in water or soapy water. Water grinding can reduce grinding marks, improve the smoothness of the coating, and save sandpaper and labor. However, when spraying the lower layer of paint after water grinding, it should be noted that the first step is to wait for the water grinding layer to completely dry before applying the lower layer of paint. Otherwise, the paint layer is prone to whitening, and the substrate with strong water absorption is also not suitable for water grinding.
